Fractions, Fractions, Fractions!

Well, we are moving to multiplying and dividing fractions for the next few weeks. The rules change but the overall concepts are the same. We will start with estimating mixed numbers and fractions. We will move to multiplying fractions and then mixed numbers. Remember to look for cross simplifying to make the problem easier. Don't forget to turn the mixed numbers into improper fractions before multiplying. Division is as easy as 1,2,3! Find the reciprocal of the second fraction and follow the rules for multiplication. Don't forget to turn all mixed numbers into improper fractions first. Think you have it all? If not, come and see Mrs. Snodgrass or me in the mornings. I am also available during study hall.
